General attack-moves
Lynels have many attack-moves, based on the weapon they wield, but some attacks are the same for every Lynel. So, all Lynels can charge Link with weapon side strikes, which are exploitable with both Perfect Guards and Perfect Dodges. They will also charge
Link by crouching and bounding on all their limbs, which also can exploit with both. They also put distance between them and Link to shoot fire from their mouths 3 times. these can be avoided by running perpendicularly from the
path of the fireballs, or by running in the same manner close to the Lynel. Lynels also use their bows with elemental arrows and teleport their shots on top of Link if he attempts to put some distance between him and them. If they
roar, they rear rampant slowly in order to perform their explosive attacks by striking the ground. This attack cannot be blocked or dodged if you are too close. And if you try to escape, they teleport close to Link if he’s still
on their range. But a very useful similarity of the Lynels is, that they get stunned by arrows in the face or Urbosas Fury, which is the only shock related attack, that works on Lynels. And if they get stunned, they are rideable.
Link can attack 5 times with the weapon he has equipped while riding the Lynel at the cost of stamina, which doesn't wear down the weapon since Link is attacking with the hilt of the particular weapon.
Spear Wielding Lynels
Spear Wielding Lynels will ground-strike Link after jumping, but not all of these attacks can be avoided with Perfect Dodges because they sometimes produce shockwaves that reach Link even during bullet-time. As such, Link would have
to perform a Perfect Guard to create openings to strike these Lynels. They can also charge towards Link and attacking with the reach of their spears after they're past Link.
One Hand Weapon Wielding Lynels
One-Handed Weapon-wielding Lynels will swing three times on close quarters with their Weapon or Swing one time on close quarters with both their weapon and shield. All these attacks can be exploited with Perfect Dodges and Perfect Guards, wich gives you
a chance to mount them and deal massive damage.
Two-Handed Weapon-wielding Lynels
Two-Handed Weapon-wielding Lynels will strike the ground after charging. These shouldn't be parried with a Perfect Dodge because they sometimes produce shockwaves. If on close quarters, they will strike with its club three times, and these attacks can
be avoided with the Perfect Dodge. If one stands behind them, they will attempt a spinning attack. To avoid it, one can run away from it, crouch underneath the Lynel or perform a Perfect Guard against it.
